The modern technology of stage lighting often amazes people. Different stage lighting brings different visual experiences to the stage. Nowadays, the application of lighting is very extensive. By using stage lighting equipment and technological means to display the environment, render the atmosphere, and highlight the central character through light color and its variations, a sense of stage space and time can be created, shaping the external image of the stage performance.

The stage lighting has evolved from one or two lamps to one or two rows or even more rows. So, a control system for lighting emerged. Having gone through early changes such as one control stick, multiple control sticks, centralized control, and segmented control equipment, these devices are still complex in manual operation and cannot guarantee the priority status of art.

In the late 1980s, with the development of electronic computer technology, the use of computers to store lighting information became increasingly common, replacing a large number of complex manual operations. Entering this century, digital technology is developing rapidly, and the field of professional stage lighting is gradually entering the era of comprehensive digitization. At present, the majority of professional lighting equipment used in large-scale outdoor performances in China adopts digital control. Digital technology has brought a profound transformation to stage lighting. Connecting the lighting control system with digital technology makes the stage lighting control more intelligent, which adds a lot of color to the performance stage. 1. Make the stage image clearer, guide the audience's gaze, and enable them to see clearly what or certain corners of the stage that are not visible to the audience.

2. Enhance the effectiveness of stage performance: meet the needs of the plot, make the background appear natural, serve as a backdrop, suggestion, and induction for the development of the plot, and regulate the atmosphere (actors, audience).

2、 Principles of using stage lighting

1. Intensity (referring to the brightness of lighting): There must be sufficient lighting to allow the audience to see colors, appearance, and details.

2. Distribution: including the use and distribution of lights and the direction of the stage. The main body must be different from the supporting role and the background in colors or brightness.

3. Color: Meet needs through methods such as color paper and computer color matching.

4. Change: Change the color, brightness, and motion trajectory of the light according to the actual situation. In the specific use of stage lighting, before reducing a certain light source, preparations should be made to enhance the next light source. Unless there are special needs for the plot, try to avoid black noise as much as possible to avoid affecting the work of the cast and crew.
